Thank you for your interest in our project. Use the navigation links to the left to learn about the team, the autocross cars, the international competition and the Mechanical Engineering Technology Program at the University of Houston.

Every year, students from more than 120 colleges gather together to compete in the formula competition held by SAE. Now, the University of Houston has a team of their very own Cougars among them. A small group of students from the College of Technology Mechanical Engineering Technology Program will design, build and race a formula style car for the SAE annual collegiate competition.

Last semester, this same group of students completed the first University of Houston formula car in 21 years from a pre-existing chassis and raced at state-wide trials. Now, having experienced the race-day fervor, this team is ready to reach their full potential.
